Workshops in this category consider models and methods of labor contract negotiations, as well as comparative labor relations systems in different countries, including China and the U.S. Several focus on developing basic negotiation skills – such as researching the employer and industry, engaging worker support, constructing contract proposals, and developing negotiation strategies. Interactive exercises in “mock negotiations” are part of many of these workshops.
