The ALR bi-lingual searchable Bibliography is a unique compendium of essential books, articles, papers, chapters, presentations, historical documents, and conference proceedings in the growing field of labor relations. While all aspects of labor relations are well represented, our collection has a particular emphasis on research and literature regarding U.S., China, and global labor and employment law, collective bargaining, and union organization and function. The entries include useful abstracts as well as links to the full-text when available.
We’ve included, of course, the field’s seminal works, such as Lipset et al.’s 1956 classic Union Democracy: The Internal Politics of the International Typographical Union and Olson’s The Logic of Collective Action: Public Goods and the Theory of Groups from 1970. You’ll also find that we’re continually updating the bibliography with the best current scholarship.
We hope the ALR Bibliography will serve as a resource for researchers and practitioners as well as for teachers and students in university-level labor and human rights courses. We invite you to visit the bibliography today, and search by keyword, author, title, year, or type of publication.
